WHY HDD?

HDD is an effective alternative to the traditional, more labor-intensive, time-consuming process of digging a trench for the installation of underground cables. The underground digging has a wider damage footprint, and it consumes a whole lot of time in digging out dirt, installing the pipe, refilling, compaction, and subsequent restoration..

Traditional digging involves elaborate traffic management as there is a larger excavation area resulting in a longer trench being dug for every pipe laying phase. This elaborate process results in increased cost, due to dirt replacement and compaction which involves more machinery. The HDD requires just the drill and the related accessorial equipment. 

Because the vast majority of the Directional Drilling operations employ only a pilot hole to initiate the drilling process there is almost no disruption of the overlying strata, therefore resulting in zero disruption of the surface, The crisscrossing utilities are not disturbed as well. This results in minimal landscaping disturbance.
